The book is a compendium of popular knowledge of the town of Figueres (Alt Empordà) on plants and their uses. The authors explain the plant species they use, their names, the pharmacological properties attributed to them, their food applications, how they manipulate them and what other uses they make. The work contributes to the knowledge of figurative ethnobotany and opens up a new line of research within the Scientific-focused Collection, also following the research criteria that define it.
