Costa Brava. Postcards, 1960’s-1970’s.

With this book, Jordi Puig proposes us —based on a systematic search on the tourist image broadcast through the postcards of the 60s and 70s— to identify the imaginary that, in the context of those years, we knew or wanted project from the Costa Brava and from Spain. But he also talks about the work of photographers and their publishers, popular culture, the contrast between tradition and modernity, architecture and landscape, the evolution of the postcard as a form of visual and written expression. And about tourism as a cultural phenomenon of masses.
